SAP SuccessFactors’ new Career Site Building tool allows its corporate customers to build attractive, mobile-friendly candidate recruiting websites.

Outdated career sites from the desktop-PC era not only make a poor first impression on job seekers, it can scare off qualified candidates.

To help customers of its cloud-based human capital management platform put their best foot forward, SAP launched new Career Site Builder tools for SuccessFactors Recruiting. The tool set is aimed at the average HR or recruiting professional with little if any experience building or managing professional websites.

By employing a consumer-style approach to website design, Career Site Builder tools allow users to create branded, mobile-friendly career sites that can be quickly edited and reorganized as their needs change.

Mobile-enabled career sites are a must. Citing data from Deloitte, nearly two-thirds of job candidates explore their next career opportunity on a smartphone or tablet. Forty percent of job seekers take matters a step further by applying on a mobile device.

Forcing potential candidates to seek out a desktop browser can undermine an HR department’s attempts to fill vacant positions.

Benefits to the new career site builder capabilities within SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing include:

  • Best practices site components (such as dynamic layouts and pre-formatted elements)
  • Live site updates for an adaptive candidate experience, enabling recruiters to make real-time changes based on candidate needs, feedback and site interactions
  • The potential for reduced management and implementation costs and times
  • Enabling customers to provide improved candidate experience and usability

Career Site Builder is the latest in a string of SuccessFactors updates intended to help businesses adapt to today’s (and tomorrow’s) digital workforce.
